1 Point of Contact

A toll free number is a point of contact for your home-business set up. The customers can contact you pertaining to any queries about your product or service in particular.

2 Point of Sales and Information

Customers or prospects will contact you via the toll free number to place orders or seek information about the product like discounts, pricing and shipping charges. This is the reason why they are also known as a marketing approach for creating sales.

3 Customer Care and Support

Another important function of toll-free numbers is to provide customer service to the customer base. This particular feature can be used by home-office businesses to resourcefully handle consumer needs and doubts.

4 Removes Obstacles

Customers are hesitant while dialing any company number. The toll free numbers eliminate any sort of uncertainty in the caller’s mind. Toll free numbers cannot be used as a sole medium to boost the sales figure. There are both significant ADVANTAGE and DISADVANTAGE to using a toll-free line for your business. Take both into consideration while deciding whether or not a toll-free line is right for yours.

Advantages & Disadvantages Of Cloud Computing

ogequipment

Cloud computing is now evolving like never before, with companies of all shapes and sizes adapting to this new technology. Industry experts believe that this trend will only continue to grow and develop even further in the coming few years. While cloud computing is undoubtedly beneficial for mid-size to large companies, it is not without its downsides, especially for smaller businesses.

As more and more charities and libraries move to cloud services, this technology is no longer novel: it’s becoming the dominant paradigm in IT.When Tech Soup surveyed NGOs, nonprofits, and charities around the world in 2012, we found that lack of knowledge was the biggest barrier to adopting cloud services. We suspect that it is still a barrier. This article will help you understand what the cloud is and support you in investigating whether cloud solutions are right for your organization. We’ll introduce some basic cloud computing terminology and outline some of the advantages and disadvantages to cloud computing.

Advantages of Cloud Computing

Tierney Smith of TechSoup Canada sums up the advantages nicely: “The move towards the cloud holds a lot of exciting potential for nonprofits of all sizes. Not only are many organizations able to realize cost savings through not having to run and maintain their own server(s) (or pay a consultant to do so), many cloud tools enable new levels of sharing and collaboration, which can transform how we work. We live in a world where our supporters are looking to us for greater transparency and there is an increasing need to partner with other organizations to achieve real impact. Using the right cloud tools can help us break down the barriers we currently face and be the more open, effective, and resilient organizations that we need to be.”

Reduced Support and Hardware Needs

As you move more business-critical applications into the cloud, you’ll likely find that you don’t need to upgrade computers as regularly, and many employees can make do without higher-end computers. That’s because the actual computing isn’t happening on the computer: A $200 tablet can access your Salesforce and Google Apps accounts just as quickly as a $2,000 premium laptop can. Similarly, you may find that a cloud computing infrastructure requires a smaller IT staff than a traditional IT setup does because your organization won’t be managing the software anymore.

Anywhere, Anytime Collaboration

Software as a service can act as a great simplifier for many organizations. If you have staff members working off-site, they can access their work just as easily at home as they can in the office. If they’re using a private or secure Wi-Fi connection, there’s also no need to set up a virtual phone services (VPN).What’s more, cloud tools can make it easier to collaborate with colleagues from outside the organization. If you’re planning an event with staff from another nonprofit, for example, it’s easy to create a Basecamp project where everyone can see each other’s work. People working in the same organization might benefit from team collaboration tools like shared calendars, video conferencing, instant messaging, and file sharing via Office 365.

A Green Choice

Cloud computing solutions are also generally greener than traditional IT because they require less in-office IT equipment. While huge datacenters require a lot of electricity, it’s still a lot less than the thousands of office-grade computers it would take to perform the same big tasks. Large cloud computing providers can also optimize their datacenters for energy efficiency much more precisely than manufacturers of desktops and laptops can.

Disadvantages of Cloud Computing

Security and Availability

Security and availability are still the main concerns that most people have about relying on cloud-based services. You’ve probably heard of the many high-profile news stories of security breaches in cloud-based services. Although you should certainly think about the implications of a breach in your organizational data, you should also consider that in both cloud-based and on-premises software, most security breaches are attributable to human error. That is one reason why we published our 12 Tips to Being Safer Online. When thinking about cloud security and availability, you should also have a realistic sense of your current technology situation. Fears about the cloud are sometimes based on a utopian vision of an organization’s current situation. Odds are that your security isn’t perfect, you don’t have 100 percent systems uptime, and you may not have staff resources dedicated to IT management. In the cloud, security and management are in the hands of trained, dedicated experts.

Cloud Vendors Going Out of Business

Cloud computing is still a quickly changing field, and there’s always the danger that a new company might go out of business or radically change its service. A sudden change in service might not be too detrimental if you were only using the application for a one-time project, but it could be disastrous if you were using it for your entire donor database. When evaluating cloud providers, find out what options you have for backing up and extracting your data. The best services allow you to download your data in a standard, nonproprietary format.

The Need for Reliable Internet Service

Finally, you will become more dependent on a good Internet connection if you rely on the cloud. As more mission-critical work is done on the Internet, organizations will need much more bandwidth and few, if any, failures in Internet connectivity. If consistent Internet access, connection speed, or bandwidth are problems for your organization, cloud solutions may not be right for you at this time.

US Citizenship and Immigration Services today said that it has returned all the petitions of H1-B visas

The US Citizenship and Immigration Services today said that it has returned all the petitions of H1-B visas, popular among Indian IT professionals, that were not selected in the computer-generated lottery system in April. The H1-B visa is a non-immigrant visa that allows US companies to employ foreign workers in speciality occupations that require theoretical or technical expertise. The technology companies depend on it to hire tens of thousands of employees each year from countries like India and China. Check for H1B Visa Evaluation in UT Evaluators

The US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) said that it has returned all the unselected H-1B petitions for the fiscal year 2019, beginning October 1 which were submitted to the agency in April. The Congressional-mandated cap of 65,000 H-1B visas and another 20,000 in the advanced degree categories were reached within the first five days after the USCIS started accepting H-1B applications.

As an H-1B non-immigrant, the applicant may be admitted for a period of up to three years. The time period may be extended, but generally cannot go beyond a total of six years. However, there are some exceptions to it. On April 6, around 94,213 H-1B petitions were received in the general category and 95,885 in the advanced degree category, as a result of which the federal agency resorted to a computerised draw of lots to select the successful applicants. Petitions of those not selected have now been returned, the USCIS said.

The H-1B application process began from April 2 as the top federal agency temporarily suspended the premium processing of all such work visas subject to fiscal cap. The suspension of premium processing of all the H-1B petitions which are subject to the annual caps is expected to last until September 10, 2018. H1B Visa Process Check here

During this time, the USCIS said it will continue to accept premium processing requests for the H-1B petitions that are not subject to the fiscal 2019 cap. According to the USCIS, between 2007 and 2017, it received the maximum number of 2.2 million H-1B petitions from high-skilled Indians. India was followed by China with 301,000 H-1B petitions during the same period.

US : No change in H1B visa system

Amid the H1B visa row in India, the US government on Friday said there has been no change in law regarding the H1B regime and the system continued to be as before.Acting Deputy Assistant Secretary for State for South Asia Thomas Vajda said no legislation has been passed so far on the particular category of visa. Check for H1B Visa Evaluation in UT Evaluators

“(There is) no change in the law today for H1B (visa) regime or system in the United States… President (Donald) Trump asked for review of the H1B system…but no steps have been taken. Many changes in law, so many cases, require changes of legislation. But so far no legislation has been passed on H1B. For the moment, the system remains as it has in the past,” Vajda told reporters after an interactive session with members of the Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Following Trump’s election as US president on a protectionist platform, the US has announced stricter norms for issuing the H1B and L1 visas.India’s Commerce Minister Suresh Prabhu said in October that the issue of H1B and L1 visas, which have facilitated the entry of Indian IT professionals, has been raised strongly with Washington.Responding to a query regarding reducing pet coke imports from the US, Vajda said the US sees energy as the most potential area for increasing economic activities.

“The US is committed to increase energy export and support for India’s economic development,” he said.

Vajda said both the governments of India and the US have been hopeful and supportive for completion of contract between the Westinghouse Electric Company and the Nuclear Power Corporation of India to build six nuclear reactors in India. On the Rohingya refugee crisis, he said the US has been providing financial support for humanitarian purposes to the Bangladesh government through international organisations to help out over 600,000 Rohingyas who have fled to Bangladesh from Myanmar since August. H1B Visa Process Check here

“We also continue to urge the governments of Myanmar and Bangladesh to have conversations and discussions that will facilitate the safe, voluntary and dignified return of Rohingyas to Myanmar,” he added.

What Is The Concept Of Evaluation

In every walk of life the process of evaluation takes place in one or the other form. If the evaluation process is eliminated from human life then perhaps the aim of life may be lost. It is only through evaluation that one can discriminate between good and bad. The whole cycle of social development revolves around the evaluation process.

In education how much a child has succeeded in his aims, can only be determined through evaluation. Thus there is a close relationship between evaluation and aims.Education is considered as an investment in human beings in terms of development of human resources, skills, motivation, knowledge and the like. Evaluation helps to build an educational programme, assess its achievements and improve upon its effectiveness. Check for Educational Evaluations in US at UT Evaluators

It serves as an in-built monitor within the programme to review the progress in learning from time to time. It also provides valuable feedback on the design and the implementation of the programme. Thus, evaluation plays a significant role in any educational programme.Evaluation plays an enormous role in the teaching-learning process. It helps teachers and learners to improve teaching and learning. Evaluation is a continuous process and a periodic exercise.

It helps in forming the values of judgement, educational status, or achievement of student. Evaluation in one form or the other is inevitable in teaching-learning, as in all fields of activity of education judgements need to be made.In learning, it contributes to formulation of objectives, designing of learning experiences and assessment of learner performance. Besides this, it is very useful to bring improvement in teaching and curriculum. It provides accountability to the society, parents, and to the education system.

Let us discuss its uses briefly:

(i) Teaching:

Evaluation is concerned with assessing the effectiveness of teaching, teaching strategies, methods and techniques. It provides feedback to the teachers about their teaching and the learners about their learning.

(ii) Curriculum:

The improvement in courses/curricula, texts and teaching materials is brought about with the help of evaluation.

(iii) Society:

Evaluation provides accountability to society in terms of the demands and requirements of the employment market.

(iv) Parents:

Evaluation mainly manifests itself in a perceived need for regular reporting to parents. In brief, evaluation is a very important requirement for the education system. It fulfills various purposes in systems of education like quality control in education, selection/entrance to a higher grade or tertiary level. For Educational Evaluations in US visit here

It also helps one to take decisions about success in specific future activities and provides guidance to further studies and occupation. Some of the educationists view evaluation virtually synonymous with that of learner appraisal, but evaluation has an expanded role.It plays an effective role in questioning or challenging the objectives.

Features of Virtual Phone System you will need in order to Ensure your business .

isc2013

Effective communication is critically important for every business whatever its size and scale of operations. There have been tremendous technological advancements in the field of telecommunications in recent times and virtual phone systems are the latest communication tools rampantly used by most business houses. Virtual phone systems provide numerous advantages for all types of business enterprises and help improve overall productivity. As the name indicates, a virtual phone system is not located in the business premises of the user. The hardware and software of these business phone number are with the service provider. The user is expected to only manage a web interface, from his/her office.

If you are considering an effective communications system for your home business, you can never go wrong with a virtual phone system. Not only is it the most affordable solution available, but it will provide you with all of the features you will need in order to ensure that your business endeavor is a success.

Affordability

New home business owners are concerned with their expenditures—and for good reason. Getting started can certainly be expensive, and without an effective means of money management, it is highly unlikely that a business will succeed. A virtual phone system is truly inexpensive when compared with the alternatives, and not just on a monthly basis. There are no jacks to install and no expensive software to purchase, making the start-up costs practically non-existent. To compare monthly costs, a landline with all of the features and unlimited long distance can cost between $75 and $100 per month while a virtual system that is loaded with features aimed toward home businesses may cost as little as $20 per month.

Landline vs. Virtual System

While landlines are still considered the most traditional form of telecommunications for homes and businesses, they are certainly not the most effective. Most landline companies do not offer discounts to homeowners who choose to install second lines, and they do not offer all of the features that a virtual phone system can provide. The virtual system will allow you to separate your telephone numbers so that one is dedicated to personal use while the other is strictly for the business—without all of the added costs associated with multiple lines of service. On the same note, most of the features you need to be successful are included in the price associated with a virtual system; you may be asked to pay extra for certain features with a landline company.

Features

One of the most prominent features associated with a virtual phone system is the ability to set up an information hotline on an extension. If you are running a home business, this can save you precious time. An information hotline is available 24 hours a day, and is essentially a recorded message for your callers who are interested in learning more about the products or services you offer. It can also be used to record directions and hours of operation for your customers to hear.

Mobility

Almost all phone service providers will give you the ability to take your telephone number with you through the use of the call forwarding feature, but landline and mobile phone providers often charge for you to forward your calls. With a virtual phone system, you can easily forward your business telephone number to your mobile phone, or home or office landline if the situation calls for it. This makes you available to your clients and customers all the time, regardless of where you need to travel for personal or professional reasons.A virtual phone system is a great way for you to ensure that your home business is successful because it saves you money, provides you with features that will lend to your productivity, and allows you to be available to your customers 24 hours a day with call forwarding and information hotlines.

What Is The Evaluation for The Operational Objectives Of Educational Evaluation

It is possible to identify some “operational objectives” or uses of educational evaluation, in addition to the general aims of educational evaluation. Check for Educational Evaluations in US at UT Evaluators

The following objectives are linked to the implementation and practice of educational evaluation and, to the uses of its outcomes at different moments of the process. The following list is certainly not exhaustive. Educational evaluation has a lot of potential and uses, but among others, the following:

1  To plan better

Educational evaluation can help to change things and to plan “different things”, but it can also help us to plan things better, in order to prevent negative consequences and to compensate for possible shortcomings.

2  To take stock of achievements

It is important to recognise, name and give value to the achievements of the educational process so that they do not get lost or not sufficiently used.

3  To consolidate results

Identified results can be consolidated by making them explicit at the end of the evaluation process. The description, sharing and further use of results are natural follow-up steps of educational evaluation.

4  To check if we met the interests of the funding institutions

When funding institutions support a certain educational project, they do it according to certain criteria: the nature of the project, its objectives, their priorities. Funding institutions usually ask to receive a descriptive and evaluative report at the end of the project. Even so, educational evaluation plans and criteria should not be limited to the expectations of the organisations that fund the project. But, it is important to consider and include them. Usually this is not a difficult exercise: in most cases the questions they would like to answer through evaluation would be part of our evaluation anyway. For Educational Evaluations in US visit here

5  To reinforce co-operation with partners

If partners are involved in the educational project, they will be involved in its evaluation. A constructive and participative evaluation will naturally reinforce co-operation.But, even if your partners are not directly involved, the results of the evaluation can be ofinterest to them. You might share new ideas for common projects, other fields of common interest and ways of co-operating, new partners and networks with them.

Benefits Of Call Routing And Call Forwarding

controlenter

One of the most common advanced call routing techniques is time of day routing, which allows you to send calls to different numbers or locations based on the time of day that the call is received. For example, you may choose to create a time of day routing rule that sends all calls to your main office phone number from 8 AM to 5 PM. Then, you may have another rule that sends incoming calls to an outsourced support service that handles your calls outside of normal business hours. This ensures that your business never misses a customer call.

Being available at all times is a must for any business owner if they want to guarantee customer satisfaction. This is why it is highly beneficial to have a call forwarding feature implemented into a cloud phone system, because this way callers can reach you no matter where you are. “Wait, wasn’t that supposed to be call routing?” you may ask. And your confusion would be totally understandable; indeed, call forwarding and call routing are eerily similar to each other, since they are both intended for connecting the caller to the next available person. However, as much as call forwarding and call routing are confused for one another, there are some slight yet important differences between the two.

Call Forwarding

Also known as follow-me find-me, call forwarding is a set of commands that ensures calls are automatically forwarded to another number or numbers should the initial line be busy or unavailable, such as if your main business phone number is engaged or out of hours. In simpler words, when the phone numbers you have provided to the cloud phone system are called, they will all start ringing simultaneously or sequentially based on the call order settings determined earlier. But if the caller is unable to reach you, the system acts according to your command and the call is either directed to voicemail or is disconnected.

The benefits of call forwarding – aside from being available for anyone connected to your phone system – is that no matter where you are, your clients can reach you during business hours regardless of your availability without even noticing that their calls have been forwarded to another phone number. With call forwarding one phone line is more than enough to keep your business running, since calls can be automatically forwarded to your employees’ cell phones until one of them is connected to the caller.Call forwarding eliminates geographical problems, too: your office can even be in a different state, since with properly programmed call forwarding added into the mix a local number can automatically push calls to your main line. And we haven’t even mentioned that call forwarding is a true lifesaver in cases where the system is down for whatever reason, as the system will continue looking for an answer even if the main number is temporarily disconnected.

Call Routing

Call routing is higher in the ‘hierarchy’ because, unlike call forwarding where the caller is usually put on hold till the right person is reached, call routing is a feature that connects a call to the correct end point immediately or navigates the caller to the right person or extension based on different criteria determined by the phone system’s administrator. With these criteria even the simplest thing can be set up, like what should happen to incoming calls during and after business hours or during holidays. However, thanks to the fully programmable dial paths (better known as answering rules) the system’s admin can create a more complex set of instructions. For instance the system can connect calls directly to you, forward a call to a colleague or switch to voicemail according to individual caller IDs entered into the system’s memory. But there is more: call routing can be programmed in such a way that callers could direct themselves to the right extension via dial commands following the instructions of an auto-attendant.
